Gokyo lake trek is one of the most beautiful serene valley in Everest region. This superb Gokyo Lake trek starts with a short scenic flight to Lukla from Kathmandu, Lukla the gateway to many Everest trekking destination around high Khumbu valley. Walk passes through many traditional Sherpa villages with Buddhist religious monuments and prayer wall on route. As the trail leads upstream of Dudh Kosi a glacial river and reaching at famous Namche Bazaar at 3,440 meter high. Namche bazzar is with houses modern facilities with Cyber café, banks, ATM, post office including many stores, restaurants and bakeries an ideal place for rest and acclimatization before heading higher areas to base camp.
From Namche walk leads through pleasant path into rhododendron, pines and fir woodland, and then our route leaves behind the main busy Everest base camp trail heading towards Gokyo valley and its turquoise lake, our route heads high into reaching at few settlement of Dole, Macherma and Luza with incredible views of surrounding peaks with world 6th highest Mt Cho-Oyu 8,201. Finally after a nice trek reaching at Gokyo Lake the main highlight of this trip here is, enjoy the fascinating views of the mountains and the pristine emerald glacial Lake, next morning hike up to Gokyo Ri the highest point of this trip at 5,330 meters with fantastic views of Mt. Everest 8,848m , Lhotse 8,516 m, Nuptse 7,855m and Amadablam 6,812 m.
